ARCAC Members' Exhibition at Health Centre, Annapolis Royal The exhibition will change every 4 months. Artists give 20% of sales to the Hospital Auxiliary at ACHC. If you are an ARCAC member and interested in exhibiting at the Health Centre, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Louise Williams, ARTsPLACE MiR, will be in residence at ARTsPLACE for the duration of Drawn Out, with a workshop, studio visits and a growing exhibit in the Library space of the work created during her residency. Stop by to visit Louise between 1 and 3 pm on Mondays (or time by chance), Feb 19 - March 26.
Drawing Duncan* - Live Drawing event, February 18, 1-3 pm
A part of the opening reception for two exhibitions and the Drawn Out series. *Duncan Draper will be performing music at the event!
Mirror Mirror : drawing with Bonnie Baker, Monday February 26, 1-3pm
$5 registration required max. 20 places, 18+. Suitable for all levels.
Using large sheets of paper on the walls of the main gallery, participants will be drawing themselves using only a small hand-mirror - leading to interesting outcomes and a different perspective on the self-portrait! All levels welcome.
Artist talk with Huguette Despault May, Sunday March 4, 1-3 pm, entry $5 donation.
Huguette Despault May holds Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts. Earlier, she studied at the Schuler School of Fine Arts (a classical atelier in Baltimore, Maryland) and also received an Associate of Arts in Photography with honors from Dundalk Community College, Baltimore. Drawing has underpinned everything she has ever done artistically. Photography is also integral to her as source material. Original work and select digital images will serve as a departure for a discussion of technique and materials.

Make your own brushes with found and natural objects - use these with ink and graphite to explore the freedom of mark-making!
The Exquisite Corpse with Jenn Smith and Julia Redgrave, Sunday March 18, 1-3 pm. All ages. $5 individual, Family $10 (adult/s and two dependent children). Suitable for all levels.
The technique was invented by surrealists and is similar to an old parlour game called consequences in which players write (or draw) in turn on a sheet of paper, fold it to conceal part of the writing (or drawing), and then pass it to the next player for a further contribution.
Life Drawing (clothed) with Louise Williams, Member artist-in-residence. Monday, March 5, 1-3pm. 18+, $5. Suitable for all levels. Basic materials provided.
Drop-in Drawn Out - the main gallery at ARTsPLACE will be set-up during the 5-week program for anyone wishing to come in and have a go at drawing - materials, and still life presentations will be available. 10 am-12 and 1-4 pm, Tues-Fri. Free, children must be accompanied by an adult.
